The Broad

This past reading week I got the opportunity to visit The Broad, a contemporary art museum in Downtown LA. This is a free admission museum and a definite visit if ever in LA. I heard about the museum from its popular Infinity Mirrored Room. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to see the art installation as it was an 8 hour wait..yes..8 hours. The line to get in the museum was very long too, so I'd recommend going very early in the morning or going on a weekday. The exterior design of the museum was so eye-catching itself. It gave me a very excited but uncomfortable feeling so I have a trypophobia (the fear of small holes). Inside, there were three floors of pure art. From modern art, to classics, the Broad was an amazing experience. Personally, I really enjoy looking at art and design, and analyzing every part of the piece to see how the art came to be and what story the artist was trying to share and express. It's always nice going with a companion to share your opinions too.

Other museums in LA to check out are LACMA and MOCA, and even the exteriors of theWalt Disney Centre.
